Hans and Charlotte Hofmann present this brand new facility that sits atop 350 acres of lush hill country with views to the Medina Valley. Built in the style of an old Texas dance hall, The Grande Hall at the Hofmann Ranch is adorned with beautiful chandeliers, in contrast to the rustic cypress exterior, is the perfect location for that special Texas royal wedding. The Hofmann Ranch also has a beautifully appointed Bed and Breakfast for you and your guest. Hans and Charlotte welcome you to make an appointment to see this beautiful location.

Catering is provided by the Castroville Cafe. Chef/Owner Gary M. Carter with his twenty plus years experience of planning and catering weddings will ensure your day goes perfectly. Our dedication to service and customer satisfaction will make the whole experience a joy and one to remember fondly. Please come and see us at the Castroville Cafe or call for an appointment. It is just a 12-15 minute drive from Loop 410 and Hwy 90.

Formal Seated Meals

Customized menu - in-house service - includes: food, table settings, center pieces, glassware, china, silverware, setup, serving and clean up. Price range $20.00-$40.00 per person plus 8.25% tax and 20% gratuity.

Buffet Service

Customized menu - in-house service - includes: food, buffet tables skirted, all necessary dishes and serving utensils needed, silk floral center piece for buffet table, table linens, glass hurrican candle center pieces with white candle for round guest tables, hard plastic dinner plates and flatware, paper napkins, setup and cleanup. Price range $15.00-$40.00 per person plus 8.25% tax and 20% gratuity. Stainless silverware and glass or china plates can be added to your buffet for an additional charge of $4.00 per person.

Beverage Service

You may bring in your own beer, wine and champagne that we will serve. A charge of $2.00 per person will be added to your bill for beer and wine service. Champagne service is an additional $2.00 per person for the use of champagne flutes and pouring. Individual guests are not allowed to bring in their own alcohol. All alcohol will be served by our staff and the serving of alcohol will discontinue thirty minutes before your event is scheduled to end. Minors will not be served alcohol with no exceptions. Iced tea and coffee are included with all menus. Clear plastic cups and beverage napkins are included. Glassware is an additional charge.

Grande Hall Rental

The rental fee is based on a 5 hour event with an additional 3 hours before the event for your cake, DJ or band, alcohol and decorations to be delivered and set up; also 1 hour at the end of the event to remove your belongings. Additional hours are $250.00 an hour.

Rates: Saturday $3000.00 Friday $1500.00 Monday- Thursday $1000.00

Booking

Dates are booked only by paying the rental amount for that particular day. Dates are not held without a paid deposit. Your deposit is the rental portion of your event.

Cancellations

If you must cancel your event we will return your deposit if the date rebooks or if you cancel 6 months before your event. If you cancel with less than 6 months notice and the date does not rebook we will not refund any of your deposit.

Directions to Castroville Cafe: From the San Antonio airport, take Loop 410 West to US 90 Hwy West (12 miles). Cross the Medina River bridge in Castroville and make the immediate right on to Alamo Street (traffic light), turn left on to Lafayette Street and you are there.

From downtown San Antonio, take I-35 South or I-37 South to US Hwy 90 West (18 miles). Cross the Medina River bridge in Castroville and make the immediate right on to Alamo Street (traffic light), turn left on to Lafayette Street and you are there.

From Loop 1604 and Hwy 16 (Bandera Road), take Loop 1604 West to US Hwy 90 West (12 miles). Cross the Medina River bridge in Castroville and make the immediate right on to Alamo Street (traffic light), turn left on to Lafayette Street and you are there.
